VeilFall is fiction

VeilFall, VeilSpace, VeilChat, and their associated characters, locations, organizations, advertisements, bands, conversations, and events are part of an independent fictional entertainment project.

The project contains satire, parody, fantasy, historical references, cultural commentary, exaggerated personalities, anachronisms, and an irresponsible quantity of goblins.

Nothing presented within VeilFall should be understood as a factual news report, biography, historical account, professional opinion, or statement about the real-world conduct of any identifiable person.

Historical figures

Historical figures, including Friedrich Nietzsche, Diogenes of Sinope, and others, may appear as transformed, fictionalized, exaggerated, or deliberately anachronistic characters.

These portrayals are created for satire, commentary, education, and fictional entertainment. They are not intended as accurate biographies or representations of the historical individuals’ complete beliefs, writings, personalities, or lives.

No endorsement, sponsorship, approval, or affiliation is implied with any estate, heir, foundation, archive, university, publisher, museum, religious organization, philosophical society, or other institution associated with a historical figure.

The historical person may be in the public domain while a particular modern photograph, translation, recording, illustration, performance, logo, edition, or adaptation remains protected. VeilFall does not claim ownership of third-party material merely because its subject is historical.

Real people and recognizable inspiration

Some fictional characters may be inspired by public personas, historical accounts, internet culture, personal memories, role-playing characters, or people known to the project’s creator.

Where a character draws on a real person, it is a descriptive caricature built from the creator’s own memory, not a record of that person. Every such portrayal is filtered through recollection, affection, grudge, distance, and time. It is an impression of how someone came across in a specific room two decades ago, exaggerated for comedy, and it is not offered as evidence of anything.

These characters may be altered, combined, exaggerated, renamed, recontextualized, or placed into entirely fictional situations. They should not be interpreted as factual depictions of any real person or as claims regarding that person’s conduct, beliefs, relationships, employment, health, private life, or character.

Memory is not documentation. Where the caricature and the person disagree, the person is correct.

Any resemblance does not imply participation, endorsement, approval, or affiliation.

VeilFall does not intend to falsely represent that a real person created, performed, endorsed, approved, or appeared in project content. Anyone who believes that material improperly uses their protected name, image, voice, private information, or other legally protected attribute may submit a good-faith review request using the contact information below.

Archival fragments

Some dialogue, character details, and incidents within VeilFall are inspired by or adapted from historical online conversations, role-playing sessions, community interactions, and personal recollections. Certain lines may preserve language originally used at the time.

Such material may be edited, condensed, combined, reassigned, exaggerated, or placed into fictional contexts. Its inclusion does not imply that any real person participated in, approved, endorsed, or remains associated with this project. VeilFall characters are fictional portrayals and should not be interpreted as complete or factual representations of any person’s identity, beliefs, relationships, or present-day conduct.

Twenty years have passed. Memories are imperfect. Chat logs were chaotic. Everyone involved should be assumed to have developed at least slightly better judgment.

The spirit behind those fragments is described in Art House. This section governs; that one explains.

No affiliation with third parties

VeilFall is an independent project.

References to games, websites, communities, musicians, technologies, companies, products, genres, platforms, historical events, and internet culture are used for identification, commentary, parody, satire, criticism, historical context, or nostalgic reference.

VeilFall is not affiliated with, sponsored by, endorsed by, approved by, or officially connected to any third-party company, platform, game publisher, community, performer, estate, or rights holder unless expressly stated in writing.

All third-party names, trademarks, service marks, logos, characters, and other protected properties remain the property of their respective owners. Their appearance does not grant VeilFall ownership of them and does not imply that their owners support this project.

Human-directed and AI-assisted creation

VeilFall is a human-directed creative project produced with generative artificial-intelligence tools.

AI systems may have been used to generate, transform, assist with, or refine code, visual artwork, music, sound effects, synthetic voices, dialogue, prose, interface designs, animation, and other material.

The project’s creative direction, selection, arrangement, editing, revision, presentation, worldbuilding, and final publication decisions are made by a human creator.

The use of an AI tool does not imply that the tool provider sponsors, endorses, owns, or approves VeilFall. AI providers may retain contractual licenses or other rights under their individual terms of service.

Because laws concerning AI-generated material continue to develop, some individual outputs may not qualify for copyright protection. VeilFall claims rights only to the extent those rights exist under applicable law.

No synthetic voice or performance is intended to mislead users into believing that a real person participated unless that person’s authorized participation is clearly disclosed.

Music, sound, and fictional performers

Bands, performers, albums, songs, concerts, advertisements, and musical events presented as part of the VeilFall universe are fictional unless expressly identified otherwise.

VeilFall does not claim that any fictional performance was created, performed, approved, or endorsed by a real-world musician.

Music and audio may be created with generative tools, original human direction, licensed material, or combinations of those methods. VeilFall does not knowingly incorporate an unauthorized third-party sound recording, sample, stem, isolated vocal, or protected performance.

References to musical genres, eras, production characteristics, instruments, moods, or broad artistic traditions are descriptive and do not imply affiliation with a particular performer.

Copyright and ownership

Except where otherwise identified, VeilFall’s original branding, names, written material, fictional setting, character development, human-authored contributions, editing, arrangement, selection, and presentation are protected to the extent recognized by applicable law.

Third-party content remains the property of its respective owner. Nothing on this site transfers ownership of third-party intellectual property to VeilFall or transfers VeilFall property to a visitor.

Downloading, extracting, republishing, selling, training models on, or redistributing substantial portions of VeilFall content is not authorized merely because the content can be viewed through a web browser.

Audience and access

VeilFall is intended for adults (18+). It contains mature language and themes, including profanity, drug and alcohol references, sex talk, and suggestive dress. It does not contain pornographic material.

There is no age verification on this site. The statement above describes intent and content, not a gate. Visitors under 18 should not use it.

Privacy and data

VeilFall is a static site. There are no accounts, no registration, no logins, no comment forms, and no user submissions. Login panels, search boxes, chat inputs, and similar controls are period props and part of the fiction. Nothing typed into them is transmitted to or stored by VeilFall.

Your browser stores a small amount of local state so the site behaves sanely between visits: audio volume and mute preferences, window positions, and reading progress. This lives in your browser’s own storage, is never sent anywhere, and is removed when you clear site data for this domain.

There are no analytics, tracking pixels, advertising networks, social widgets, or third-party embeds. Pages, fonts, images, and audio are served from veilfall.cc and cdn.veilfall.cc.

As with any website, the web host and content delivery network receive your IP address, browser user agent, referring page, and the file requested, because that information is required to deliver a page. These are ordinary access logs kept for operation, security, and abuse handling. They are not combined into visitor profiles, sold, or shared for advertising.

VeilFall does not ask for personal information and does not operate a mailing list. If you voluntarily send information as part of a review request, it is used only to evaluate and respond to that request.

Good-faith copyright, likeness, and privacy concerns

VeilFall takes good-faith intellectual-property, likeness, impersonation, and privacy concerns seriously.

A request for review should include:

• The requester’s name and reliable contact information.
• The specific page, image, recording, or material involved.
• The URL or enough information to locate the material.
• The right the requester believes is affected.
• An explanation of the requester’s ownership, authorization, or personal connection to that right.
• The change or remedy being requested.
• A statement that the information supplied is accurate and submitted in good faith.

A public review mailbox is not published yet. When one exists, it will be listed here. Until then, do not assume that mail to a @veilfall.cc address will be received.

Submitting a request does not guarantee removal. VeilFall may investigate, request additional information, modify material, add clarification, restrict access, or remove material when appropriate.

Entertainment only

VeilFall is provided for fictional entertainment, satire, commentary, and creative expression.

Nothing on the site constitutes legal, medical, financial, psychological, technical, employment, or other professional advice.

The project is provided on an “as is” and “as available” basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, VeilFall makes no guarantee that the site will always be available, error-free, complete, secure, historically accurate, philosophically coherent, or free from hostile amphibians.

Use of the site is at the visitor’s own discretion.

Terms, governing law, and severability

This notice, together with anything it links to, forms the terms on which VeilFall is offered. Using the site indicates acceptance of it. If you do not accept it, do not use the site.

VeilFall is operated from the United States and is governed by the laws of the United States and the state in which the creator resides, without regard to conflict-of-laws rules. Nothing here waives any right or protection that applicable law grants you and does not permit to be waived.

If any part of this notice is found unenforceable, that part is limited or removed only to the minimum extent required, and the rest remains in effect. A failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.

Changes to this notice

This notice may be revised as VeilFall changes, new features are introduced, laws develop, or the SysOp discovers another form that apparently needed to exist.

The revision date at the top identifies the most recent version.
